What is a dimpled chin? Also called orange-peel chin, peau d'orange chin, or cobblestone chin. This is where the chin develops an excessively dimpled appearance whenever the chin muscle contracts. How does Botox help? "Orange-peel chin" injections using Botox can help to relax the muscles that cause your chin to look cobblestones, resulting in a smoother, more youthful and refreshed appearance. When will I see the effects? You should start to see/feel the effects of Botox on your chin after 3 to 5 days, but it typically takes up to 2 weeks before the full effect is achieved. Botox injections to the chin region usually last between 3 to 6 months before the next treatment is required. How long is recovery time? More or less immediate recovery — it can be performed in your lunch break! As a needle is used for the injection, there is a chance you may get a small amount of bleeding/bruising, which usually resolves after a few days.
